Join us for the opening night at The Auxiliary as we launch Moments in Sound, an exhibition bringing together immersive sound installations by Floris Vanhoof, Nell Catchpole and Vivienne Griffin.
Exploring the boundaries between music, sculpture, technology and place, the exhibition presents three distinct approaches to listening and sound-making. From electromagnetic transmissions and expanded instruments to resonant objects rooted in the landscapes of Teesside. The exhibition opening is accompanied by a special evening of live performances featuring Vivienne Griffin with Oona Loweth (cello) & Nell Catchpole (violin), Dale Frost with a light-reactive drum solo, and Floris Vanhoof, presenting a 16mm film and synthesiser audiovisual performance.
